Our journey started 30 years ago with the launch of the PlayStation game console. Debuting in Japan on December 3, 1994, the original PlayStation quickly became a sensation. It stole the spotlight at E3 1995 and later achieved tremendous success upon its release in North America and Europe that same year.

In North America, Polygon Man became an icon but was quickly scrapped due to pressure from Sony’s corporate leadership. However, Polygon Man has since gained a lasting presence in video game pop culture. In 2012, the character made a comeback as the main antagonist and final boss in the fighting game PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale.
