In 1998, Sony promoted the MLB ’99 baseball game by inserting special PlayStation MLB ’99 trading cards into Donruss Studio 98 8×10 Baseball card packages. There were a total of 20 available PlayStation MLB 99 cards. Each card had a real baseball player and on the back featured a MLB ’99 Tip.
